In addition to its original distribution business, for which its storage capacity is its principal advantage, Coverpla has added three production units to its Nice-based site.
Injection workshop
The plastic injection workshop features eight injection presses operated on a schedule of three eight-hour shifts a day, five days a week. These machines are specifically equipped to inject Surlyn, with a capacity of 8 to 9 million units annually. To ensure a high-quality service, all the moulds are manufactured in France, and are stored and maintained on-site.
Decoration workshop
“The decoration workshop performs screen-printing (with organic inks and enamels) on semi-automatic and automatic machines, as well as hot stamping and pad printing. Other types of finishes are conducted by exterior partners. “L’atelier de décor englobe la sérigraphie (encres organiques ou émaux) exécutée par des machines semi-automatiques et automatiques, le marquage à chaud, la tampographie ;
d’autres types de parachèvements étant réalisés par des partenaires extérieurs.
Assembly workshop
The assembly workshop is dedicated to “custom-fitting” the pumps with three automatic machines in addition to manual work stations. The caps are also assembled here (fitting the plastic insert into the collar or aluminium ring).
Agile storage
By stocking the products available in the catalogue, we foster our development, both in terms of agility and economics. To date, Coverpla has the benefit of 3,000 m2 of storage area with a total capacity of 13.6 million units. The nearby location of the Nice-based facilities – combined with our automatised logistics flow management – fosters the smooth coordination of procurement and transport.
